Former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale ignites mixed reactions over his move to give a handout to a "hustler" when he was on his way to Church in Siria.
He posted that empowerment is critical to people who work on the roadside to elevate their living standards.
However, that move did not go well with KOT.
On my way to attend a church service in Sirisia early this morning (for our, incarcerated brother Hon Waluke) I met this young hustler woman. Touched, I stopped to empower her.— Dr Boni Khalwale, CBS (@KBonimtetezi) July 19, 2020

" You just gave her a handout this is not empowerment. Maybe you should have empowered her by getting her a kibanda or even getting her a small mecko it goes for 3k wacheni hizi macinema Omuami, " Japhet ndoti criticised him.
" When you give to the poor, leave your cameras at home, "
" To empower somebody you need policies that are realistic n specific in ensuring sustainability, "
" The Bible says Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and the streets, that they may be praised by others. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, "
