EACC calls Waiguru for bribery, fake tenders as MCAs injects 2nd impeachment motion while getting signatures

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru on another fight with EACC over kickbacks and fake tenders investigated by DCI at Kirinyaga county.


EACC boss Twalib Mbarak summons the controversial Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru for explanation over tenders bribery which her bank transactions trace from the proxy companies.


The companies include Velocity Company,Velociti company and Solitaire Construction Company where she obtained Ksh. 80 Million bribes.


Waiguru is required to appear before the integrity watchdog on Wednesday next week. 


"The EACC has accepted your request and postponed the date of the interview to Wednesday 22 July 2020 from 9 am at Integrity Centre office, Nairobi. Take note that EACC will not postpone the interview any further,” read a letter from EACC boss.


The Waiguru troubles double after the county assembly rejected her budget proposals for 2020/2021. MCAs introduced another impeachment motion as well as collecting signatures for the dissolution of Kirinyaga County.
