Police in Homa Bay County arrested a 50-year-old Bishop accused of defilement.
The Man of God defiled a 12-year-old step-daughter while her mother was away on a trip.
The man of God was apprehended following a medical examination that substantiated that the girl, a class seven pupil, had been defiled.
The girl demonstrated how she had been offended by him severally while her mother was away attending a funeral.
The family resides at Komuoyo village in Kasewe sub-location, Rachuonyo East.
The girl noted that the abuse took place between Wednesday and Friday. Her mother is said to have interviewed her after seeing that she had difficulties walking.
The cleric was arrested on Wednesday.
