Some governors from Nyanza, Rift Valley and North-Eastern have resorted to contesting for the MP seats in their respective constituencies in the coming 2022 polls.
According to them, it will make it easier for them to advance for Cabinet Secretary positions as crafted in the Building Bridges initiative.
The second-term governors are positioning to profit from the BBI proposal that Cabinet Secretaries will be appointed from the Parliament.
Some Governors who have been at the last brick of being toppled from power are also considering going for Parliamentary seats.
The governors want continued political power to give him “immunity” from past actions.
